Hey Now..

First off, I have not had time to train. Better put, I have chosen not to make time to train. That's better. I have chosen to give The Man my time on this job. My kids time by spending time with them. My School Time. My hubby time. Sneaking in time with God (which should be first, and that's another topic in itself). But me?

Well, I'm looking at my calendar and it's week 12 in the countdown for the HM. We have a 2 week trip planned during that time frame too. But I am still determined. Not registered, but determined. If I choke, please don't blame me. The last couple of weeks have been crazy and I am seriously reassessing my priorities at this time and contemplating the 5K versus the HM while following the Couch to 5K plan. Options. Sometimes I hate them.

Props to J-Mom and WannaB. You girls Rock!

What your wrote in my comments seriously inspired me! Thank you!!!!!!

I also love that you put about making time for God in your blog! So important (and I need to do it more!!). Do you listen to music when you run? I have some great songs for your iPod/mp3 that you can run and be in meditation with God. It's actually one of the things that helped me to love to run to begin with. God found a quiet time in my head to speak to me.

*Muah* It's good to see you posting!

It is about having fun, and balance is such an important part of that. I know you will do what's right for you, and we are here to support you!!

BOATGIRL IS BACK!!!!!

Listen, sometimes real life has to take priority over running, right? You are doing what you have to do.

Does this HM have walkers too? If so, do the HM, regardless. I'm training for a HM too, but doing the walk/run program. I know there isn't no way to run it for me currently, plus I am doing it with non-running friends. If there are no walkers, well do what seems best physically. Sometimes other things do have to take priority, but don't leave it behind. :)

My name is Robert Key and I am a runner from Houston, Texas. I saw your blog listed when I was looking through the RBF directory and very much enjoyed reading some of your entries. I hope that you find the inspiration you are seeking for the half-marathon, and it sounds like you have your priorities in order. Your faith in God is fantastic, and if it is in His plan for the HM to happen as you set it out, then it will. If not, perhaps it will be later.

I have a web site at http://www.faithfulsoles.com that is inspirational stories for walkers, runners and athletes of all ages and abilities. A new feature I have recently added to the site is a categorized and searchable Running Blog Database where members of my site can find a blog of interest to them based on other walkers, runners or athletes of similar abilities, goals and interests. To my knowledge it is the only one of its kind specifically for walkers and runners on the internet. I would appreciate it if you would take a moment to put a link to your blog in our Running Blog Database. Just click on "Link your running blog" under "Free Features" from the home page. If you want to learn more about my running background, just click on "Meet Robert" from the main menu , or to learn more about my involvement in the running community, click on "Faithful Soles in the news" in the left column under "Weekly Features". I also have a blog that I just started at http://faithfulsoles.blogspot.com, but most of my running information is on my web site. Also, if there is anyone else in your blogger network that you think would be interested in listing their blog, please feel free to pass this information along to them. Thanks and continued good luck in your training.
